Exhibitions and Programs
A History of Photography
During my summer internship at the Cleo Redd Fisher Museum, I curated their special exhibit about the history of photography. I was responsible for securing all loaned materials, researching and writing all label text, and installing/de-installing the exhibit.
Exhibiting Emotions: The Museum of Broken Relationships in the High School Art Classroom
As part of my Museum Education course, I developed a program proposal for the Museum of Broken Relationships based in Zagreb, Croatia. The program is for high school art students who can learn about the Museum and then develop their own mini exhibits and works of art inspired by the vulnerable storytelling at the core of the Museum of Broken Relationships. The program is based on Indiana state standards.
The Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis
I was part of the team that brought a traveling exhibit of the Museum of Broken Relationships to Indianapolis. I helped to secure funding for the project, participated in the curation and installation of the exhibit, wrote supporting label texts for the gallery, and curated a satellite display from the exhibit in the Indianapolis community.
Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis Program Materials and Online Resources
Throughout the run of the Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis project, I served as the Programs and Project Manager. I implemented programs in the community designed by students and prepared all materials associated with these programs. I also helped to design two online resources, an accessibility guide for visitors with information before their visit and a school kit for teachers.
