Taxidermy Cleaning

Eagle Creek Ornithology Center

After a training in taxidermy handling and integrated pest management, I volunteered to help with the annual cleaning of the Eagle Creek Ornithology Center. I learned how to identify pest damage and ways to clean and treat these delicate taxidermy objects.

Exhibit Cleaning

Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture and Lifeways

During a three day intensive visit, I helped to clean the entire permanent exhibit at the Ziibiwing Center. I applied my skills in object handling, integrated pest management observational skills, and general collections care throughout the project.
